Tom Wood Volkswagen is currently looking for a Part-Time Receptionist! The receptionist greets customers when they come into the dealership's showroom, answers their questions and directs them to the appropriate staff member, and answers all incoming calls, takes messages and transfers callers to the appropriate department.

 

Week 1

Monday, Wednesday, Friday -  7:15-3

Saturday 7:15-3

 

Week 2

Monday, Wednesday,Thurs, and Friday - 7:15-3

Responsibilities

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greeting the showroom customers and assisting them by providing the information needed or referring them to the correct staff member. 
  • Operating the telephone switchboard by answering incoming calls, transferring callers to appropriate personnel, taking messages and using the paging system.
  • Documenting customers who come into the dealership, noting basic demographic information and contact information.
  • Performing general administrative duties, such as taking care of plants and straightening magazines, to maintain the lobby or reception area.
  • Handling basic store needs as in refreshments and customer amenities.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
  • Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • Has excellent communication skills and can stay calm under pressure
  • Is able to present themselves in a professional manner at all times around the customers
  • Has functional computer skills and is organized
  • Is available to work flexible schedule including Saturdays -

 

Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background screening including a criminal background check, a review of motor vehicle records, verification of social security number, and passing a drug test at a certified testing facility.
