    Tom Wood Ford is looking for a fulltime Parts Counterperson for 1st shift and 2nd shift to sell parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
    • Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
    • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
    • Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
    • Pull and fill orders from stock.
    • Maintain stock inventory and notify the proper individuals about out-of-stock parts or materials that need immediate attention.
    • Issue and track ordered parts and notify the proper individuals that the parts have arrived.
    • Properly label all parts being used for repairs.
    • Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
    • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
    • Ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customer and that they receive their invoice.
    • Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
    • Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
    • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
    • Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
    • Keep current on new products and product updates.

    • Ability to stay calm under pressure - good troubleshooting skills
